* What does your ideal customer/client look like?

            - How many of them do you currently have?

            - What are the key factors to attract more of the same?

* How fast is your market growing?

            - What’s your action plan to grow faster than the market?

* Do your critical vendors (products AND services) have the capacity for your growth?

            - If not, what’s your plan?

* Do you understand the marketing/sales cycle in your business?

            - Have you identified the key levers in that cycle you can influence?

 

Profitability

 

* How much does your business need to sell every week to reach your desired profits?

            - Do you have a sales budget that adjusts for seasonality and other factors?

* How profitable are each of your 10 largest customers?

            - What are you doing to improve that?

* Do you have a cash flow plan in detail at least 3 months forward?

            - Does it include financing (business & personal) at least 1 year in advance?

* Do you have a budget on at least a monthly basis?

            - Are you usually within 3% plus or minus of that plan?

 

Compliance & Risk

 

* Who were your 5 biggest vendors last year?

            - Do you have a written plan and backup if one of them has a problem?

* What percentage of total sales are to your 10 largest customers?

            - If it’s more than 50%, have you considered the pros and cons of that?

* When did you last review your tax planning?

            - Are you surprised at how much you pay each year in taxes?

            - Have you read and do you understand what is on your business tax return?

* Did you receive a PPP forgivable loan (free money) last year?

            - If not, was that a conscious decision or did it just get lost in the daily grind?
